In many situations schools qualify for grants and assistance for setting up these programs.
Why Teach Students to Grow
Not only does this system teach the youth about the benefits of growing there own food, it teaches the youth about creating sustainable systems and working together for a bigger cause. Student are typically allowed weekly sessions to tend to there schools gardens. These students will learn the basic knowledge to create good soil, plant seeds, manage plants and harvest there food. Taking this knowledge with them into there lives as adults. Creating a simple system to educate individuals in the world about the benefits of growing there own food when they can.
